PEG Feeding

1. Have an awareness of what a PEG is.

3. Discuss nutrition and hydration relevant to an individual with a PEG. Recognize signs and symptoms of dehydration.

4. Identify indicators of having a PEG.

5. List the risks involved in having a PEG.

6. The procedures for administering feed and medication.

7. Consider possible complications and discuss how to recognize, report and action.

8. Discuss Person centered care relevant to PEG including documentation and infection control.
